- Secure File Deletion according to DOD 5220.22M Standard. This process is used on hard drives or other magnetic devices which can be reused, refurbished or resold. It is carried out by using equipment which can access the hardware directly, avoiding any possible software or handling errors since it is not performed through an operating system. The hard drive or device remains operational, but without the slightest trace of information.

- Degaussing. This process destroys storage devices (hard drives, tapes, cassettes, and others) beyond any possible repair through a powerful magnetic field that reorganizes the substrates on which information is written at a molecular level. This is the correct way to destroy information stored in defective devices or in those which want to be discarded in a secure way.
